I am looking out a few compact tractors and trying to decide which one for what I want. I have 2 acres that is flat and like a mid mount mower and also would like a FEL to do small chores around the house. I have a long driveway back to my barn so rear blade snow removal works well with my old 8N tractor except when we got 24" of snow during one storm. Anyway, I am just trying to find out which tractor people like the most between the two and why.
Thanks!
Craig

It really depends on your needs. Before I took delivery of my 2210, I had second thoughts about if I got a tractor big enough, but after I got it home, I knew that I had plenty of tractor. I don't have a big yard (only 1 ac right now, but that will change in the future). If you are going to do heavier work, then a 4000 series is right for you. I will mostly do mowing with my 2210, but got a FEL, tiller, and box blade for landscaping work around the house.
Yes, the 2210 is a lighter tractor, but that is a good thing when mowing, which is my case. If that wasn't a concern (and I could see spending an extra $3000-4000), I would have gotten a 4115. The best thing for you to do is drive both a 2210 and 4100/10/15 and decided what size "tractor", not horsepower, that you could best use. ....

I guess I will be doing pretty much what your doing with your tractor. I have two acres but would use it for mowing mostly and some other yard work around the house.
Thanks! ....
